Irene was born on September 5, 1932 to Hebern C. Tanner and Florell Hildreth Tanner in Brewton, Alabama and passed away, Monday, March 1, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Irene was a resident of Stonewall and worked for AT&T for 18 years as a line worker before retiring. She loved gardening, particularly taking care of her flowers. She loved to play Bunko. She was a people person and loved anything to do with visiting with friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Millard Dean Boyett, Sr.; sons, Danny Ray Boyett, Charles Wayne Boyett; grandson, Josh Boyett; and brother, Charles Tanner. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Rita Brown and husband, James of Stonewall; sons, Millard Boyett and wife, Dana of Jamestown, LA, Dennis Boyett and wife, Robbie of Stonewall, Larry Boyett and wife, Jerri of Stonewall; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who loved their “Nanny.”
