CLARKSVILLE ? Edgar Lee Tippit, 104, of Clarksville died Friday, Feb. 24, 2006 at ETMC Clarksville.
Services are set for 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, at Lindeman Chapel with the Rev. Don Shovan officiating. Burial follows in Red Oak Cemetery in Blossom under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
He was born Jan. 26, 1902, in Red River County, the son of U. G. and Ara Della Rivers Tippit. He was a retired farmer and a Methodist.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, J. D. Tippit.
Survivors include wife, Mary Lee Daniels Tippit; sons, Donald Tippit of Paris, Wayne Tippit of Mount Pleasant, Edward Tippit of Mount Pleasant and Ron Tippit of Clarksville; daughters, Christine Christopher of Dallas and Joyce Debord of Terrell; sister, Onetta Richerson of Livingston; 28 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several great-great-great-grandchildren.
