Funeral services, conducted by Rev. DelFosse, will be held from St. Joseph's Catholic church in this city at 9 o'clock Saturday morning, interment directed by Boord & Shelby following in Mt. Hope cemetery.
John T. McMahon was a son of Timothy and Sarah Bachus McMahon and was born and always lived in Covington being engaged most of his life in teaming and farming. Out of the family of six sons and two daughter, only the two daughters, Mrs. Charles Shepherd and Miss Maggie McMahon, and J. W. (Farmer) McMahon survive.
John was united in marriage to Miss Lena Rodgers, she having passed away May 30, 1928, and to this union were born three children, Walter dying in early life, Margaret and Rodger surviving.
John McMahon was one of Covington's substantial citizens and had the respect and esteem of all with whom he came in contact, being long a member of St. Joseph's church."-The Covington Republican, Friday, December 23, 1932
