Clinton Durham Sr., of Cheswold died at home surrounded by his family, on Sunday, February 28, 2021.

Clinton Sr. was born August 19. 1934, to the late Norris Carney and Orietta (Durham) Thorpe.

Clinton Sr. served 20 years in the Navy, and worked 18 years at the Delaware Department of Transportation Area Yard in Cheswold, where he retired in 1996. Clinton Sr. was a member of the Lenni- Lenape Indian Tribe of Delaware, he was involved with Dover Little League, where he coached his boys. He loved watching westerns, and Nascar; he was an avid fan of Dale Earnhardt Sr.

In addition to his parents, Clinton, Sr. was preceded in death by, his wife, Ardella Mae Durham who died on August 3, 2006; his grandmother, Lola Durham, who raised him; a brother, Ronald Thorpe; a sister Sandra Stevenson; and a close cousin, Phyllis (Durham) Dangerfield.

Clinton, Sr. is survived by his sons, Clinton Durham, Jr., Steven Durham, Keith Durham all of Cheswold; a daughter, Gloria Harris, of Dover; and a sister, Ester Brown, of Dover; grandchildren, Michael, Clinton III, and his wife Rebekah, Amanda, Sean, Ardella, Charon, Lauren, Erica, Patrick, Jessica, Latisha, Keith Jr., DeMarcus, and DeAndrus; great-grandchildren, Michael Jr., Jordon, Rylie, Roman, Jaxon, Skylar, Michael, Malachie, Giovanni, Brielle, Bryce, Joyclyn, Kingston, DeAndree, Pashence, DeAndrus Jr., Zoe, Kourtney, DeMarcus, Jr., and Dru; two special persons; Tammy Mosley (Daughter-in-law) and Shallie Sudler.

Funeral Services will be 11 am, Saturday March 13, 2021, with a one hour viewing prior at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E Lebanon Rd (Rt10), Dover. Interment will be at Immanuel Union United Methodist Church Cemetery, Cheswold.
