Carmen "Lita" Archibeque, age 87, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on February 16, 2021.
Carmen was a gentle soul who was known for her wonderful cooking, especially her tamales!
Carmen was preceded in death by her parents, Felipe and Bessie Martínez, infant daughter, Rita and son, Albert Archibeque.
Carmen is survived by her loving husband of nearly 70 years, Alejandro "Alex" Archibeque, daughters, Rita Zamora and her husband, David and Isabel Trujillo and her husband, Herman, son, Anthony Archibeque and his wife, Lorraine, daughter-in-law, Eleanor Archibeque, grandchildren, David Zamora III and his wife, Jaclyn, Boston Zamora, Julian Zamora, Daniella O'Connor and her husband, James, Alicia Archibeque, Amanda López and her wife, Felisha and Deanna López, great-grandchildren, Stella and Griffin O'Connor and David Zamora IV.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW with a rosary at 10:00 a.m. and Mass following at 10:30 a.m. Rosary and Mass will also be live streamed starting at 10:00 a.m. at www.stjudenm.org. Due to covid restrictions a private burial will be held.
