Barbara was the daughter of Garrett Joel and Elizabeth (Peterson) Boots. Her father was born in Pennsylvania and her mother in Ohio. She married William Archer in Fayette Co., OH 15 Aug 1816. The names of 7 of her children are known but according to the 1830 Census there were 7 male children in the household, of which three remain unidentified.
Known children are: Joseph Edgar b 1818; William b. 1826; George Washington b. 1827; Eli b. 1829; Louis b. 1831; Thomas b. 1835; and Melissa b 1836. Compiled and submitted by Brenda Massie Tolle Feb 2021
