February 23, 2021:

Marianna stone, 91, of Fulton, Missouri passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.

Marianne was born September 27, 1929, in Fulton, the daughter of William Clark Murphy and Mabel (Nevins) Murphy. She was united in marriage to Roger J. Baumerston on August 25, 1952 and he preceded her in death. Marianne later married Roland Stone and he survives her.

Marianne graduated from Fulton High School in 1947 and attended William Woods College in 1950. She was employed at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as a secretary for Westminster Collage ROTC, The Sportsman Shop, Art Gallery in Fulton and in Jefferson City. She retired from Missouri School For The Deaf in 1993.

Marianne was a member of First Baptist Church in Fulton, PED Chapter KE of Fulton and the Kingdom Of Callaway Historical Society. She was one of the founders of Fulton Art League, served as president of Callaway Alumni Club of William Woods University for seven years.

Survivors include her husband, Roland; son, Roger Baumeister Jr. (Terri); granddaughter, Shannon Baumeister of Columbia, Missouri; sister, Patricia Ellen O'Rourke of Fulton; brother, William David Murphy (Cynthia) of Lake Okoboji, Louisiana; step-daughters, Janice Lea Stone of Lacy Springs, Alabama and Carol Jean Grasse (Ralph) of Ballston Spa, New York; step-granddaughters, Renee Keeler and Emily Konick; step-grandson, Jonathon Konick; step-great-grandson, Graham Keeler; a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her first husband,Roger, Marianne was preceded in death by one step-son, Kelly Francis Stone.

Marianne's final words were "I am through shopping."

Marianne's family would like to thank Dr. Ramadoss, the nurses and staff at Missouri Cancer Associates for the care over the last eight years.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating.

Memorial donations are suggested to Winston Churchill Memorial in care of Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton.
