Lowell (Bo) Baugh Griffin, 86, a retired lieutenant colonel in the Army who later worked for EDS, passed away February 21, 2021 at his home in Gaithersburg, MD after a brief illness. Bo lived at the Woods Resort in Hedgesville, WVA for 20 years, until 2020.

Bo was born in Berea, KY, graduated from the University of Kentucky and served active duty for 21 years with assignments overseas in Korea, Germany and Vietnam. His final assignment was on the Army General Staff at the Pentagon where he retired in 1979. His military decorations included the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star, and the Army Commendation Medal.

Bo was a member of the Retired Officers Association and the Men's Golf Association at the Woods Resort. He was an avid, competitive golfer who enjoyed many friendships on and off the golf course.

His beloved wife of 48 years, Nancy Lair, preceded him in death in 2004. His daughter Katherine L. Griffin, passed away in 2018. Survivors include his daughters Susan (Lars) Hanan of Chevy Chase, MD and Fran (Nick) Biase of Rockville, MD and grandchildren Peter, Matt and Eric Hanan, Annie and Marta Biase. He is also survived by sister Betty Hoover of Louisville, KY.

The family will have a private inurnment service honoring Bo at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. (Due to the worldwide coronavirus; AKA: COVID-19)
