She was born in Gaston County, NC on August 14, 1930, to the late Irene Martin Anthony and Edgar Anthony.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hugh Mincey and brother John Anthony.
Betty is survived by her loving daughter and son, Anne Mincey and Steve Mincey, and their spouses Fernando and April; nephew, Mike Anthony, and wife Hilda; and cousin, Peggy Jenkins.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Pisgah ARP Church, 3600 Linwood Road, Gastonia, NC with Reverend Rick Lewis officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the release of the doves. Memorials may be made to Pisgah ARP Church, 3600 Linwood Road, Gastonia, NC 28052. Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 2916 Union Road, Gastonia, North Carolina is serving the family.
