THOMAS EBBS PASSES AWAY
Thomas Daniel Ebbs, aged 70 years, died at 8:30 o'clock Sunday evening at his house on Spangler Street. He had been in ill health for some time. Born in Philipsburg, April 13, 1873, he was the son of George and Margaret (Dorey) Ebbs.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Hannah Jane (Kough) Ebbs, and six children, as follows: James E. Ebbs, of Belsano; Mrs. Eva Robinson, of Altoona; Mrs. Laura McIllwain, of Cherry Tree; Mrs. Edith Weakland, of Rahway, NJ; Mrs. Marie [Russell] Cunningham, of this place; Pvt. Floyd Ebbs, stationed at Camp McCain, Miss. Fifteen grandchildren survive.
Thomas Ebbs was a brother of: Edward Ebbs, of Cymbria, and Mrs. Laura Marien of Brisbin. Funeral services in charge of Rev. David L. Long, pastor of the Hastings Methodist Church, were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Ebbs home. Interment was in the Union Cemetery.
Other siblings were Ellen Nora, George E., Margaret E., & Edith.
