Abram Souther, 76, millwright

SEABROOK - Abram Souther, 76, of 293 South Main St., died Wednesday at the Amesbury Hospital.

Mr. Souther had worked for many years as a millwright at the former USM Bailey Corp.

A lifelong resident of Seabrook, he was born on Feb. 7, 1911, the son of Stephen and Emogene (Fowler) Souther.

Mr. Souther was an Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 852nd Coast Artillery Battery in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of the Raymond E. Walton American Legion Post 70.

Family members include his wife, Patricia (Frank) Souther of Seabrook; a son, Abram Souther of Epsom; a brother, Stephen of Seabrook; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Cora Souther of Sebrook and Mrs. Rachel Locke of Salisbury, Mass., and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the Ronald A. Remick Funeral Home, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, Friday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Wildwood Cemetery, Seabrook.

Friends may call at the funeral home this evening from 7-9.

SEABROOK - The funeral service for Abram Souther who died May 31, was held Friday at the Ronald A. Remick Funeral Home.

The Rev. John G. Bernard, pastor of the Rand Memorial Church, officiated. Jean Goss was organist.

Burial was in the Wildwood Cemetery, Seabrook, with committal services by the Rev. Bernard.

Taps were sounded by Mary Souther.

The flag that draped the casket was presented to Mr. Souther's widow, Patricia (Frank) Souther.

Bearers were Clarence Souther, Paul Souther and James Locke.
