Mrs. Carolyn D. Lang of Dansville, age 88 passed away peacefully on February 18, 2021.
Carolyn was born in Avoca, NY on January 5, 1933; she was the oldest daughter of the late Harold & Alta (Kuhn) Agard, and sister to the late Margaret (Agard) Doorley.
Mrs. Lang attended Hornell High School, graduating in the class of 1951. The following year she married her Dansville Sweetheart, Joseph K. Lang. They would enjoy a wonderful marriage of 52 years, living in Dansville NY where they raised their family. Her late husband Joseph passed away in March 2004.
Carolyn was a woman of incredible Christian faith, a faith that she lived every day. She leaves behind this wonderful gift of faith to her family. In her free time, Carolyn discovered a talent and love for writing. She wrote two novels, and had many of her short stories published. She belonged to the Dansville and Wayland writers group over a span of 25 years. Carolyn loved spending time with her kids and Grandkids swimming and picnicking at Stony Brook Park and Poags Hole (the Rocks). Her most favorite vacation was traveling to PA over a span of 36 years, visiting her two daughters and their families. She was so over joyed having her three Son's living nearby, along with her many wonderful grandchildren. Let's not forget time spent with her beloved dogs, Chelsea and Meg.
Mrs. Lang is survived by her five children, Chris, Frank, Vincent, Jodie (John), and Theresa (Rich). She was a loving Grandmother, who was blessed with 14 Grandchildren, and 13 Great Grandchildren.
