MRS ROSA DELONG FINAL RITES TODAY.
The funeral for Mrs Rosa Hatcher DeLong, 85, was to be conducted today at 4 pm from Burton Memorial Presbyterian Church, with interment in Green Hill Cemetery.
Mrs DeLong died Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in Memorial Hospital following a decline in health for the past two years.
A native of Floyd County, she was born April 17, 1880, a daughter of the late William Hatcher and Mrs Mary Radford Hatcher. She had lived in Danville for over 60 years and was a member of Burton Memorial Presbyterian Church. She retired from Dan River Mills in 1948.
She is survived by her husband, W. Harry Delong of the home, 232 Gray St.; one daughter, Mrs Lillie D. Cowan, also of the home; one sister, Mrs Joe Hilliard of Danville; eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
