Roger L. McHenry, 79, of Quitman, Mississippi passed away on January 29, 2021, at Anderson's Hospital.
He was born on November 16, 1941, to Edna and Burnis McHenry in Clarke County, MS. Roger was a life-long resident of Quitman, MS. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Quitman. He was a devoted, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Roger is survived by his wife, Jimmie Carol McHenry; daughter, Gina Amaxopulos; sons, Jeffery Lamar (Angie) McHenry and Kelly Andrew (Amy) McHenry; sister, Temple (Walter) Couch; brothers, Roy (Barbara) McHenry and Terry Ford; sister-in-law, Carolyn McHenry; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Burnis McHenry; step-father, Jessie Ford, and brother, Rodney McHenry.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 11:00 am at the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Stan Majure officiating.
Burial will take place in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Roger's grandsons, Ben Humphrey, Simon Amaxopulos, Cody McHenry, and Jacob McHenry and nephews, Scott McHenry and Michael McHenry.
