Christina married George M. Huthmacher in Hattersheim, Hessen, Germany. They emigrated to America and arrived in Baltimore, Maryland on 15 May 1882. When Christina married, she was the daughter of deceased parents, Michael Kaus and Maria Apollonia Weilbacher. Descendants of Johannes and Margaretha (Westenberger) Kaus believe Christina was related to them. Both families were early settlers of the German Catholic community of St. Bernard, Nebraska.
