The El Dorado Times Tues. Sept. 24, 1935 Front page-Mrs. J. F. Ellis Dies Early Today-Mrs. J. F. Ellis, 219 North Residence Street, died here early this morning following an illness of approximately four weeks. She was 67 years old. Mrs. Ellis came to Kansas 35 years ago and most of that time resided on a farm near Hopkins Swithch. Five years ago, however, she and Mr. Ellis moved to El Dorado. The Eldorado woman was born at Green Garden, Ill., on May 5, 1862, and was married at Joliet, Ill., on November 30, 1882. She was a member of the Methodist Espiscopal Church. besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, N.O. at home, Vern E., of Divide Colc., and Harry W. Ellis, of Peabody; a daughter Mrs. C.L. Cook of El Dorado and 12 gradnchidlren. Funeral services will be held at the Arnold-Adams Funeral Home, Thursday afternoon at 2:30.

Ellis, services for whom will be held at the Arnold-Adams Funeral Home tomorrow afternoon at 2:30, are: Ellis Varner, Elmer Hanes, Fred Doyle, Charles Hibbard, Wallace Cameron and Rolla Cameron. Mrs. Ellis died here early yesterday following a month's illness. Rev. J. H. Higdon, of Potwin, will officiate at the services and interment will be made in West Cemetery.

Ellis, who died here Tuesday were held at the Arnold-Adams Funeral Home yesterday afternoon with Rev. J. H. Higdon, of Potwin, officiating. A large group of friends and relatives attended the services. Mrs. Roy Morris and Mrs. Harry Campbell sang "Abide With Me," "Beautiful Isle" and "Sweet Hour of Prayer." Pallbearers were: Ellis Varner, Elmer Hanes, Fred Doyle, Wallace Cameron, Rolla Cameron and Charles Hibbard. Interment was made in West Cemetery.
