Alonzo Austin
Alonzo Austin, a native of Pound Ridge, where he was born eighty-one years ago, a son of the late Seth and Eliza (Dann) Austin, died in his home in Vista on Tuesday. He had been a resident of Westchester County until about twenty-two years ago, when he moved to Vista, and for many years was well-known as a basket maker. He had been in poor health for the past five years. He leaves a number of nephews and nieces. He never married. The funeral service, which will be private, will be held from the Franklin Hoyt Funeral Home in South Main Street Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and interment will take place in Beck Hill Cemetery in Lewisboro.
