William Leonard (Joseph) Burkholder was born to Julia (Collins) and Henry Burkholder around 1874. He married Louise (Lulu) B. Blythe on May 18, 1898 in Macomb, Illinois. They were only married 4 short years before Lulu died (May 29, 1902) of an illness having been sick for 3 months. He later married Edna May Curtis of Hamilton, Illinois. To this union 4 children were born. Leonard Major, Clara Belle, Nellie Beatrice and Joseph Lloyd ♥ . When little Joseph was only 6 months old, his dad died in an accident working on the railroad. William/Joseph Burkholder was buried in Hamilton, Illinois where his father Henry was buried. September 1913.
