She was born on August 8, 1951 to Billy and Frances (Snyder) Smith at Bay City, TX.
Diana was a woman of faith all of her life, including: Youth Leader at the Oakland Church of the Nazarene, the leader of the Women of Grace Bible Study at Sacred Heart/ St. Joseph Parish. She was an avid volunteer for all church events, especially Germanfest. Diana also sang in the church choir.
She was the anchor to her whole family. Diana was a mother to all she met and even to those she did not know.
She enjoyed riding her bike and walking. She would always be at her grandchildren's school event and sporting events. She enjoyed sewing. Once COVID started, needs became known and she started making hundreds of masks and donating them to hospitals around Kansas, Texas, and Michigan.
Diana is survived by loving Husband, Children, Siblings, Sister In Law, 28 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; a host of extended family and foster family; and her fur babies, Jack and Jimmy.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Billy T. Smith, Mother, Frances M. Smith, Infant Sister, Elizabeth Anne Smith, Brothers, Melvin “Frank” Smith and Billy Gene Smith.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 24 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Topeka, Kansas. Interment will follow at Topeka Cemetery.
