She was born in Alma, February 20, 1945 to Floyd and Melissa (Meyer) Woodrow. Janet graduated from Alma High School and on March 22, 1969 she married Clair Atherton in Wacousta, Michigan. They made their home in the surrounding area and attended the Grand Ledge First United Methodist Church. After Clair retired in 2001 they moved to Barryton where they could enjoy fishing together. When Janet was able she would crochet, fix puzzles, read and watch movies.
Janet is survived by her loving husband of 38 years Clair Atherton Sisters: Doris Long of Vestaburg Rose Peck of St. Louis And Donna Eastman and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents Janet was preceded in death by her brother Bob Woodrow and a sister Margaret Bitterman in 2006.
A memorial service for Janet will take place at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton with the family greeting friends an hour prior. Inurnment will be at Brown Cemetery.
