MRS. W.N. MORGAN TAKEN BY DEATH

Ardmore, Sept. 7.--Mrs. W.N. Morgan, formerly of Ardmore, died early Monday morning in Durant, where she made her home for the past 11 years. The body will be turned over for burial services at 11 a.m. in Harvey Chapel, conducted by the Rev. R.C. Miller, Oklahoma City, former pastor of the Baptist church at Durant.

Mrs. Morgan had been failing for several years. She suffered a stroke early this year. With her at the end were all the children except a son in Florida.

Born at Nashville, Tenn., Jan. 25, 1861, she married W. Noah Morgan Oct. 27, 1877.

Eight children were born: Mrs. C.C. Peel, Durant; James A. Morgan, Amarillo, Texas, who died Feb. 18, and is buried here; Clara Morgan, teacher at Southeastern State College, the past 16 years; Will H. Morgan, 801 Bixby Ave.; Mack Morgan, post office inspector, Jacksonville, Florida; Mrs. L.G. Lowery, Durant; Walter C. Morgan, Oklahoma City; and Mrs. W.A. McCullar, Durant.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by one sister, Mrs. J.W. Fryer, Nashville, Tenn.

She and Mr. Morgan joined the Baptist church and were baptized in 1876. Her husband died Aug. 20, 1938.

They made their home in at Humbolt, Tenn., until 1888, when they moved to Iuka, Miss., and in 1911 to Ardmore, where they lived until 1931. The Morgans made their home with their daughter, Miss Clara Morgan, Durant. While in Ardmore they lived at 17 Scott Street.

Will H. Morgan is co-owner of Morgan and Pollock Ranch on Mountain Fork and has many friends in Broken Bow.
