Entered into rest, Jan. 8 , 2021, Ann Marie Longo Maresca, 91, of North Haven; beloved wife of the late Louis R. Maresca, who recently predeceased her in late 2020 ; loving mother of Mark (Martha) Maresca; adoring grandmother of Lauren and Ryan Maresca ; sister of Rosabel Longo DeLieto and the late John Longo; also survived by several nieces and nephews;born Oct 25, 1929 daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Pascucilla Longo. Ann Marie grew up in the Hill section of New Haven on the corner of Cedar and Carlisle. She attended Wilbur Cross H.S. and then worked at Knights of Columbus and later in life Blue Cross Blue Shield. She was a wonderful wife and a loving mother. Ann Marie was also an amazing cook! She would pull off massive Christmas and Easter feasts for her beloved family. Ann Marie was never happier than when she had cards in her hand. It wasn’t so much the winning or losing just the playing of the game with family and friends. She did this often and loved every minute of it. She thoroughly enjoyed dining out, whether it was just with her loving husband Lou or with the entire family. Fervently religious, she regularly attended mass and did so until it was no longer physically possible. Ann Marie was also a ceaseless advocate for Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and will be deeply and lovingly missed, by her family and friends.

Friends may briefly visit at MARESCA & SONS FUNERAL HOME 592 Chapel St Friday January 22, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and may go directly to St. Michael's Church 29 Wooster Pl. to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
