Robert Lloyd Howe, 64, of Springfield passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at his residence. He was born Sept. 21, 1943, in Waukegan, the son of D. Edwin and Dorothy M. Anderson Howe. He married Janet Marie Miller on Dec. 19, 1970, in Springfield. His father preceded him in death.
Mr. Howe was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. He was employed by the state of Illinois, retiring in 1999.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; son, Kelly Eugene (wife, Angela) Howe of Springfield; mother, Dorothy May Howe of Springfield; brother, J. Richard (wife, Kay) Howe of Naples, Fla.; four grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.
Funeral services at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
