Susan H. Henkenius, 99, funeral will be held Monday at St. Boniface Catholic church at Elgin with burial in St. Boniface cemetery. She died Tuesday, September 17, 1996 at Omaha. She was born September 19, 1897 at David City to Nicholas and Anna (Schlenz) Bickel. She moved to Elgin in 1917. She was married on May 10, 1921 to Henry Henkenius, jr., at St. Boniface Catholic church. They farmed until moving into Elgin in 1944. He died Oct. 12, 1947. After his death she moved to Omaha and also lived at Bellevue for 17 years. She was survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, 4 brothers, 1 sister.
