"He stood about 5'7". My grandfather was a handsome, strong husky man with dark hair which, characteristic of the Baileys, thinned at the temples and receded back. He was such a jolly man and just loved children. Two of his children died young: one from croup and one from infected burns that came from a fall into the fireplace. He rented land and farmed all his life. At the Bridgeport Christian Church he served as an elder and deacon. On March 27, 1936, he died from a neglected prostate infection and was buried in Resthaven Cemetery, Louisville, Kentucky."
