Marjorie was born on September 28, 1929, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Golden R. and Lola Mae (Williams) Rayfield and grew up in Ellington, Missouri. She graduated from Ellington High School in 1947 in a class of 27 students, 24 of whom had been classmates together since first grade. Those same classmates continued to meet at reunions for the next 70+ years.

On May 1, 1949, she married Homer Franklin Arbogast of Foster, Missouri, and together they raised a daughter, Mary Lee, and a son, Steven Lawrence. Working together, Marge and her husband owned and operated several successful businesses, first in Missouri and then in Colorado. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, bowling and playing cards with friends.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Homer, her son, Steven, her 2 sisters (Melba and Rosalie), one nephew (Jim) and one niece (Susan)
