John J. Trucks is my 3rd great grandfather. He married Mary Heller in Huron County, Ohio in 1831. John & Mary traveled from Ohio along with his Mother, Ruth and his brother Abraham to Iowa. They arrived in Iowa in 1838. His brother Michael came to Iowa in 1870 and is buried on the same plot as John and Mary. Mary's name does not appear on the stone with John and Michaels but her obituary states her body was taken to Toronto to be buried besides her husband. Mary was born in 1810, Penn. and died in Woodbury Co.,Iowa in 1896.
