Mrs. Armintie Hathaway
Mrs. Armintie Hathaway, 59 years, died at the Oil City Hospital Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock from burns suffered Tuesday noon in her home, 328 1/2 Seneca Street, when her clothing caught fire from an open stove. Mrs. Hathaway was burned over two-thirds of her body before the flames could be extinguished.
Mrs. Hathaway was recovering from an attack of the grippe due to getting her feet wet when her home was flooded during the recent high water. She had just finished eating her dinner and was passing the stove when her clothing caught fire. The deceased had been a resident of Oil City for the past five years. She was a member of the Salvation Army.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Nancy Abbott, Youngstown, O., and the following children: Mrs. Norman Manross, Oil City; Mrs. Mildred Gilbert, Warren, 0., and Ray Goodwell, at home. One sister, Mrs. Belle Ogden Youngstown, O., and one brother, George Abbott, Cambridge Springs, also survive.
Funeral services in her memory will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Osenider chapel.
Burial will be made in Grove Hill cemetery.
