Betty was born in McPherson, KS on January 28, 1930. She attended McPherson schools until she went to Mount Carmel Academy in Wichita for her junior and senior years of high school, graduating in 1948. She married Hugh A. Chandler in December 1950. He preceded her in death in May 1985.
Their four children are:
Kirk Ross Chandler, b. September 11,1951 in McPherson, KS
Stephanie Chandler Freeman, b. November 1, 1952 in McPherson, KS
James B. Chandler, b. January 20, 1957 in Smith Center, KS
Sondra Jo Chandler Thorne, b. January 15, 1964 in Smith Center, KS
Betty led an inspirational life. She was deeply loved and will always be greatly missed by her children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
And the world is a much lesser place in her absence.
