William Eugene Hoge, 82, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hampton and Evie Hoge; son, William Harris Hoge; and brother, James Hoge.

Gene was originally from Mullens, West Virginia. He is survived by his wife of 59 years of marriage, Tommy Jean Hoge; daughters, Susan Broom and husband, Jimmy, and Chrissy Douthat and husband, Andy; grandson, Jay Broom and wife, Mandy; granddaughters, Caroline Broom, Elizabeth Douthat, Katherine Douthat, and Anna Wade Douthat. He is also survived by his brother, Hampton Hoge Jr.

Gene graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for General Electric for 39 years. Gene was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
