Mary Edith Kuzma, age 80, of Grand Haven passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to Louis and Arlintha (Gorham) Frickman and married Michael John Kuzma, III on October 15, 1960, in Muskegon. He preceded her in death on October 7, 2009.
Mary graduated from Butterworth School of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She started her nursing career working at North Ottawa Community Hospital in the 60’s and 70’s, then worked for a long time at Beyer Hospital in Ypsilanti, before returning to finish her nursing career working at North Ottawa Community Hospital. Mary loved everything about Lake Michigan; from walking the beach, to always taking the long way home, or, to her destination, which meant driving by the lake. Her other interests were working in her garden and always being busy.
She is lovingly remembered by two sons, John (Dianne) Kuzma and Dan Kuzma; four grandchildren: Ian, Michael, Jacob, and Ellyana; and her brother, Fred Frickman.
