PEARCE, Doris L., 82, of Brooksville, Florida, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 peacefully in her home.
She was born July 2, 1938 in Martinsville, Indiana and moved to the area from Toledo, Ohio in 1995 with her husband Russell. She was a loving mother, dedicated wife, and a wonderful homemaker. Doris worked with the local schools in Cicero, Indiana where she lived for many years. She was an avid and talented golfer.
She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Capito and her mother, Leona Capito; brother, Robert Capitoher; sister, Elizabeth (Petie) Morford; brothers-in-law, Bruce Morford, Steve West, Jim Hendrickson, and Pete Woodall; nephew, Bruce A. Morford. Doris leaves behind her husband, Russell Pearce; son, Scott Pearce; daughter-in-law, Beth Pearce; grandchildren, Matthew Pearce and Anna Pearce; sisters, Katherine (Sis) West, Marjorie (Margie) Hendricks, Sharon (Sue) Hendrickson, and Patricia (Patty) Woodall; brother-in-law, Bill Hendricks; her beloved dog Kacey; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A private service with family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in her memory.
