His final resting place is the Sanchez family plot in Ascension of Our Lord Cemetery, Donaldsonville, Louisiana. Note: Originally there was a tomb here, but it decayed severely, so the family chose to demolish it and seal the grave permanently. The original door of the tomb is now the marker with the names.
