Ms. Vickie Mae Atkins Baker Brown, age 65, of Cana, VA, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at her home. She was born in Surry County, NC, on August 2, 1955, to the late Archie Allen Atkins and the late Virginia Mae Doss Atkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, Max Ray Baker, Jr. and Jeremy Clay Baker; brother, Tommy Allen Atkins; sister, Bonita Marie Atkins; her grandparents; a special nephew, Gary Lee Wall. Vickie worked for Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital as a dietitian aid for over 30 years. Left to cherish her memories are three sisters, Kay Turman, of the home. Martha (Bryan) Musgrave, of Mt. Airy, NC, and Donna Swafford of Lowgap, NC; six grandchildren, Britanie (Alex) Baker, Tyler Bounds (Baker), Austin Baker, Jessie Bounds (Baker), MaKayla Baker, Mackenzie Baker; two great-grandchildren, Korbin Jenkins, and Lennox Jenkins; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2021, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home, with Associate Pastor, Robert Riggan officiating, her cremains will be buried in Skyline Memorial Gardens following her memorial service.. Due to COVID restrictions, the family requests all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing. Moody-Davis Funeral Service is serving the Brown family.
