Alden 'Andy' Albert Anderson, 92, passed away February 2, 2021, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, KS. He was born October 19, 1928, in Clermont, IA, to Albert and Alma (Ostle) Anderson.

Andy was a 1946 graduate of Clermont High School, Clermont, IA. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1951 to 1953. Andy was employed by Big Chief Buildings for over 30 years, and Farmland Industries as the Human Resources Manager, retiring in 1982. He enjoyed working and always had a side job. Andy was the owner/operator of Triple A Trash Service that was eventually sold to Stutzman Refuse Disposal. He drove an activity bus for Unified School District 309 Nickerson-South Hutchinson from 1983 to 1996. He always said that there was nothing better than getting paid to watch his grandchildren at their activities. Andy also worked for Ramsey Oil for several years.

He enjoyed playing card games, dominoes, camping, and boating. Andy and his wife loved to travel. They would spend their winters at the Fountain of Youth Spa in California. He was a longtime member of the Nickerson United Methodist Church, Nickerson, KS.

On August 2, 1953, he married Ethel Agnes Pickle, in Jamestown, KS. They shared over 67 years of marriage.

Andy is survived by: his wife, Aggie Anderson of Nickerson, KS; children, Gary (Jo Anne) Anderson of Ocean Shores, WA, Larry Anderson of Nickerson, KS, Janice (Troy) Coon of Hutchinson, KS, Connie (Robert) Yost of Pottsboro, TX, and Brenda (Steven) Guisinger of Moore, OK; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; three sisters; and three brothers( Sophie 1906-2005, Glenerd 1908-1908, Viola 1910-1975, Vernon Paul 1912-1993, Harvey 1914-1986, and Lillian 1916-2004).

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be scheduled at a future date. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2021, through Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Nickerson United Methodist Church or Kansas Honor Flight, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
