10 June 1927
Mrs. Anna LINCOLN, 85, for many years a resident of Carbondale, and widow of Louis LINCOLN, cousin of Abraham LINCOLN, the emancipator, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George LEEMAN, after an illness of nearly seven years, during which time she was bedfast most of the time. For many years after the death of her husband, she lived alone. She is survived by three step-grandchildren, Ernest RAYNOR, Chicago; Mrs. Ralph ALLISON, Columbia; and DeWitt RAYNOR, Detroit, Mich. The funeral will probably be Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church.
[Note: It is very doubtful that Anna's husband Lewis was related to Abe Lincoln, at least not a direct relative.]
