Lisa Joy Plunkett, 59, of Wagoner, Oklahoma was welcomed into her Heavenly eternal home on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. She was born September 7, 1961 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Raymond Morris and Martha Joy (Hamby) Stanley. She graduated from Muskogee High School and then attended Connors State College.
Lisa married her best friend and the love of her life, Mike Duane Plunkett on April 16, 1981 in Muskogee. They shared more than 39 years of life, marriage, and making memories together.
She worked for Wagoner Community Hospital as the Health Information Management Supervisor.
Lisa loved spending time with her family, especially being a Gigi to her grandchildren. She also enjoyed exercising and walking, knitting, being a ReFit instructor, and taking family trips to Branson.
She was a longtime member of Muskogee First Assembly of God where she faithfully attended and served.
Lisa’s passing will leave a huge void in the lives of her family, community, and everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lois and Walter Hamby; paternal grandparents, Ruby and Floyd Stanley; and father-in-law, Pete Plunkett.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Mike, of the home; daughter, Michelle Rogers and husband Michael of Muskogee; son, Cody Plunkett and wife Kenady of Wagoner; parents, Joy and Ray Stanley of Muskogee; brother, Marvin Stanley and wife Nannette of Wagoner; grandchildren, Drake and Cole Rogers of Muskogee; along with many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services celebrating Lisa’s life will be 1PM, Friday, February 19, 2021 at Muskogee First Assembly of God Church with Dr. Steve Rose officiating. Interment will follow at Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner with Josh Branan, Speck Plunkett, Drew Branan, Austin Davis, Josh DeForest, Bob Coburn, Drake Rogers, and Cole Rogers serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Beth Brown, Diana Bickle, Sue Branan, Russ Branan, and Cindy Crosby.
