The WILLIAMS-KAMPP FUNERAL HOME
Iydell E. Clemens October 17, 1924 - February 10, 2021
Iydell E. (Bluhm) Clemens, 96, passed away on February 10, 2021, at the Tabor Hills HealthCare Facility in Naperville. She was born October 17,1924, in Zumbro Falls, MN. Iydell fondly remembered growing up in a small farming community, attending a one-room schoolhouse where most of her classmates were her siblings and cousins. After graduating from Rochester High School in 1942, she moved to St. Paul to work, but returned home in 1943 to get married and start a family. A career change for her husband found Iydell’s growing family relocating to Illinois, settling in Wheaton in 1957. In addition to raising her eight children, she was the bookkeeper for the family masonry business for over 30 years. She also enjoyed dancing, big band music, playing cards and making favorite family recipes, but her greatest joy in her later years was spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Iydell is survived by her children; Joe (Becky), Mike (Lori), Pat (Jim) Allured, Dave (Linda), Tony (Mary), Lance (Julie); 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one sister Viola Nelsen; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Donald, in 2006; her sons Tom in 2009, and Jim in 1994; her parents Frank and Margaret (Adams) and siblings, Eves, Opal, Cleo, Eugene, Dorrance and Delores.
