MRS. J. H. LUCKETT
Died Saturday Night at the King's Daughters' Hospital After a Long Illness.
Mrs. J. H. Luckett died at 5 o'clock last Saturday evening at the King's Daughters' Hospital, after fourteen weeks' severe illness of a complication of diseases. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Holderfield, and was born and raised in Campbell county, Ky., near Newport. She was married to Mr. Joseph H. Luckett, December 7, 1898. To this union were born, two children, Garnett V. Luckett, who died years ago at the age of twenty-two months, and Myrel Bryan, who survives, aged about four years. She was a devout and faithful member of the Methodist church at Mt. Pleasant, Ky., and was a kind a loving wife and mother. She bore her terrible sufferings with great fortitude and patience and seemed resigned to her fate.
Left to mourn her sad ending are the grief-stricken husband, the little son, her father and mother, two sisters, Mrs. Laura Barnes and Mrs. F. C. Burkhardt, a brother, G.C. Holderfield, all of these living in Trimble county, also a brother, Gus Holderfield, of St. Louis, Mo.
The funeral services were held at 10 o'clock this morning at the residence of J. B. Ray, on the Corn Creek pike, and were conducted by Rev. Godby, pastor of the Milton Methodist church. The burial was in the Moffett cemetery.
