MARTY AMARO A private service will be held for Marty John Amaro, 60 of Chico. Marty passed away at home on February 3, 2021 surrounded by his family after a yearlong battle against pancreatic cancer. He was born on March 16, 1960 to George and Dolores Amaro in Willows, CA. Marty graduated from Willows High School in 1979. He graduated from Butte College with an Associates degree in electronics. Marty worked in the Bay Area for several years in the electronics industry. In 1988 he joined the Smyth family business, Smyth Tire, where he worked for 33 years and became co-owner. Marty enjoyed biking, coaching baseball, the outdoors and most of all spending time with family. His survivors include his wife of 35 years Suzy Amaro; three children; Patti, Andy and Jack Amaro all of Chico; mother, Dolores Amaro of Willows; one sister, Corey (Yann) Amaro of St. Zacharie, France; three brothers, Mathew (Shelley), Mark (Diane), Zane Amaro all of Willows.
