NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. James C. "Jimmy" Bush, III, 53, of W. Woodlawn Avenue, entered in rest Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at University Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2006 at Pineview Memorial Park. Honorary Pallbearers will be the 1967 Dixie Boys All Star Baseball Team. Mr. Bush was born in Augusta, GA and was a life-long resident of North Augusta. He was a 1971 graduate of North Augusta High School, and took great pride in playing on the 1967 Dixie Boys Baseball World Series Championship Team. Mr. Bush was co-owner of Jim Bush Flower Shop and a member of the First Baptist Church of North Augusta. Several of his hobbies and interest include reading, fishing, and writing poetry, designing and arranging flowers. Survivors include his parents, Jim and Lucille Bush of North Augusta; three brothers, Charley Bush, Dickie Bush and his wife, Lissa, George Bush and his wife, Marcia, all of North Augusta; one sister, Terri Webb and her husband, Rick of North Augusta; several nieces and nephews which were very special to him, Richard Bush, John Bush, Jackson Webb, Ryan Webb, Gregory Bush, Abbe Webb, J. P. Bush and Melena Bush. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 until 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Special Olympics, 810 Dutch Square Blvd., Suite 204, Columbia, SC 29210 or to the American Heart Association, 1105-D Fury's Lane, Martinez, GA 30907. Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
