Iron Station, North Carolina - Ruby A. Womack, 93, of Iron Station, passed away peacefully February 7, 2021 in Dallas, NC. Born August 8, 1927 in Charlotte, she was the daughter of David D. and Georgia M. (Murph) Allman. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Womack.
A member of Iron Station United Methodist Church, Ruby retired from Mecklenburg County Social Services after numerous years of employment. She was also a charter member of the Golden Voices of Boger City Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Dennis "Charlie" Womack & Myra (Greg) Hanks; grandson, Jason Womack; 5 additional grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Max Womack; two sisters and one brother.
Funeral Service 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service. Visitation 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Condolences may be submitted at www.forestlawnwest.com.
