Hazel Ann Hebdon Hansen was born May 7, 1928, in Preston, Idaho, to Edward Eardley and Ellen May Auger Hebdon.

She died March 18, 2018, at her home in Smithfield, surrounded by her family.

After losing her mother at six, she was raised by her sister while living in various locations and attending various schools. As one of five girls, she graduated from North Rich High School in Laketown, Utah.

She married Roland Hansen on June 10, 1947, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

They were the parents of three daughters: RoAnn (Blaine) Ashworth (deceased), Dixie (Paul) Baird and Sherilyn (Ron) Kohler.

She served a four-and-a-half-year service mission with her husband as directors of the home-craft department at the Deseret Industries in Logan, Utah. She was an accomplished quilter and seamstress and made many quilts for her family members.

She is survived by two daughters, one brother, Harold (Jeniece), one sister-in-law Sarah Hebdon, 20 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a stepmother, four sisters, five brothers, a daughter, a granddaughter and a great-great-grandson.

The family would like to give a special recognition to CNS and Hospice services, with a special thanks to Carol McDonald. Thank you for the love and care you showed our family during this time.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2018, in the Smithfield 14th Ward church, 451 South 250 East. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main Street, Smithfield, and at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral.

Burial will take place in the Smithfield Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family online with the family at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com.
