Known as Ensign Joseph Lynde. He was a selectman and a member of the legislature. In his will he bequeathed his "Negro Dinah" and his farm to his son Nathan.


∼Joseph is the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Lynde. He married Mary, daughter of Phineas and Elizabeth (Green) Sprague on October 21, 1714.

They had eight children together, they are:
