Known as Ensign Joseph Lynde. He was a selectman and a member of the legislature. In his will he bequeathed his "Negro Dinah" and his farm to his son Nathan.


Joseph is the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Lynde. He married Mary, daughter of Phineas and Elizabeth (Green) Sprague on October 21, 1714.

They had eight children together, they are:
