Ware Shoals – Leonard Jeru Cothran, 91, widower of Marian “Patsy” Fortner Cothran, died Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the home of his son.

Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late E. Roland and Essie Turner Cothran. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He had worked at Riegel Textile Co. and was a self employed brick mason. He was an avid Carolina Gamecocks Fan.

Surviving are a son Faron Cothran (Linda) of Ware Shoals, a sister, Doris Cothran Brownlee of Laurens, three grandchildren, Brandon Cothran, Tonya Knight and Shane Henderson, and a great grandson, Landon Cash Cothran.

In addition to his wife and parents he was pre deceased by a son, Leonard Cothran, Jr. four brothers, Carlos, R.E., Edward, and Donnie Cothran, and a sister Margaret Cooper.

Funeral services with limited seating will be held at 11 AM Tuesday at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop officiating. Burial will be private. Mask and social distancing will be required.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM Tuesday at Parker-White Funeral Home prior to the service. In Lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Mt.
