After the passing of his parents, he was embraced in love by Curlee and Hazelean Brawley Sr. Roosevelt was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Kannapolis, where he served as a Deacon, Trustee and member of the Hymn Choir.
Roosevelt was a pillar of strength and the foundation of his family and community.
