Ernest (Ernie) Frank Pegoda was born to Ray and Wilma (Coburn) Pegoda on September 23, 1962. He grew up in Huntsville, Texas, where he resided for the remainder of his lifetime. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. One of his favorite things was spending time with his large family at his parents' home for holidays and special occasions. He worked hard during his career at Weatherford International and was never one to turn down a challenge. He was a jokester and loved to poke fun at people, which was one of the ways that he showed his love to those close to him.

After a long battle with various health issues and complications, Ernie passed away December 17, 2020. He was received into heaven by his two sons, Matthew and Hunter Pegoda; his grandson, Dustin Gerke; his parents, Ray and Wilma Pegoda; his grandparents EF and Clara Pegoda and Lee and Katherine 'Katie' Coburn; his nephew, Cole Pegoda; and his twin sister, Earnestine. He is survived by his wife, Judy Pegoda; his son, Jeremy Pegoda and his wife Wendy; daughter, Kaitlin (Pegoda) Puckett and her husband Mason; son, Cameron Pegoda; and his granddaughters, Cheyenne Gerke and Laci Pegoda. He is also survived by his siblings, Kathy Pegoda; Beverly Pegoda; Elaine (Pegoda) Morrow and her husband Ricky; Mary (Pegoda) Alford and her husband Brad; Eddie Pegoda and his wife Arleen; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and co-workers.

While he is and will be missed by all, we take rest in knowing that he is reunited with his precious sons and grandson forever.
