LeRoy Truitt passed away at the age of 95. Descendent of George Truitt the first, who settled in America in 1635. He was born of Harry and Anna Truitt and raised in Burke, Idaho during the Great Depression with his 2 younger brothers, Berton & Cecil. He loved fishing, playing the harmonica, and dreaming of being a movie hero one day. He was drafted into WWII against the Japanese, earning a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He became a Christian while part of the Army and spent every year after reading through the Bible at least once. LeRoy was a devoted member of the Church of the Nazarene. He worked for 38 years at Kaiser Aluminum plant and was a longstanding Union member. Hobbies included chess, cribbage, and stamp collecting. Avid walker in his neighborhood and at North Town Mall. He leaves behind 3 natural and 3 adopted children, Brenda, Darrin, Darla, Melody, Kenneth, and Lawrence. Honor Guard Service to be held at Washington State Veterans Cemetery when allowed, due to Covid.
