Alvin, 52, Emmaus, PA, formerly of Cridersville, died at hospital while undergoing open heart surgery.
He was a son to Hosea and Alvera (Hoel) Arnold. He married Jeannette Mertz, who survived him.
Also surviving were two sons, Kevin and Ryan, both at home; a daughter, Jodette (Brian) Ockenhouse, Emmaus; and three brothers, Gene, Rockford, Boyd, Lima, and Paul, Celina.
He was an engineer with Buckeye Pipeline Co. and resided in Cridersville before being transferred to Pennsylvania.
Services will be at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
