Barbara Carol Townsen was born in Plainview, Texas on February 24, 1950 to Juanita and Don Cannon. She left this earthly world the morning of February 3, 2021 at home at the age of 70.

She is a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

She enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilt making and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She loved to watch sports especially when one of her kids or grandkids were playing.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Don Townsen, of 51 years of Denison, Tx. Survived by her mother Juanita Cannon, daughters: Tamri and husband Eric Savage of Kellyville, Ok; Kimbre and husband Chris Neidhart along with Kara and husband Jason Bentley both of Celina, Tx.

Her sons Clint and wife Dawn Townsen of Houma, Louisiana and Jamie and wife Emily Townsen of Lubbock, Tx. Her treasures are her 14 grandkids. Her grandsons Colt, Cale, and Cason Savage; Colby Neidhart; Eli, Noah, Bowe, Gunnar and Gus Bentley;

Trenton and Garrett Townsen and Edward and Joshua Townsen. She has one granddaughter Lily Neidhart. Barbara is also survived by her mom, Juanita Cannon of Plainview, four sisters, a brother and lots of nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father Don Cannon, brother Ricky Cannon and nephew Christopher Stokes.

Memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, February 6th at 2pm at Waples Methodist Church in Denison, Texas followed by a family burial at the Townsen Cemetery in Adamsville, Texas on Sunday, February 7, 2021. Family and friends will gather to visit one hour prior to service time at the church.
